Huawei phone teardown reveals new Kirin chipset

MediaTek has finally unveiled the Dimensity 9000+ processor for 5G-enabled flagship models. This is another high-end invention in the dimension field that is again making its way to 5G products to improve the performance of the device.

According to the information, MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ has obtained some of the technical measures of the previous Dimensity 9000 chip. Therefore, these measures help to improve the power efficiency and operation of the hardware.

MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ Build

The new chipset is based on the 4nm process of TSMC and Armv9 architecture. It features an octa-core CPU frame with 1 Arm Cortex-X2 super core (frequency=3.2GHz), 3 Arm Cortex-A710 large cores and 4 Arm Cortex-A510 energy-efficient cores which have improved the performance of 5%. Additionally, it supports a ten-core Mali G710 GPU with a performance rating increase of 10%.

Moreover, the processor meets the high bandwidth demand in the market. It embeds LPDDR5X memory with 8 MB of L3 CPU cache and 6 MB of system cache. Moreover, it integrates the 5th generation APU590 AI processor to offer AI computing power for many applications with energy efficiency.

Key Features of Dimensity 9000+

Media Tek Imaggiq 790 imaging technology:

The super-tech SoC equips an 18-bit HDR-ISP image processor that supports 320 million pixel cameras. Also, it is capable of capturing 18-bit HDR videos with three handset lenses at the same time. It offers AI noise reduction for 4K HDR video and low-light shooting.

A new generation of 5G modem:

The Dimensity 9000+ consists of a 5G modem that supports sub-6 GHz 5G full-band broadband network and 3CC (300 MHz) tri-carrier aggregation. As a result, the theoretical downlink rate reaches 7 Gbps and supports R16 super uplink. Moreover, it has dual-SIM multi-standard technology which contains 5G and 4G combinations. With the help of MediaTek 5G UltraSave 2.0 technology, it effectively reduces power consumption.

MediaTek MiraVision 790 Display Technology:

A WQHD+ resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate display is another prominent feature of the chip. It further adds FHD+ resolution and 180Hz refresh rate display with MediaTek Intelligent Display Sync 2.0 technology. Subsequently, 4K60 HDR10+ video Wi-Fi wireless projection also takes place in the chipset.

Added Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3:

It adds next-generation connectivity and provides a seamless connection experience for smartphone users.

According to the information, the new processor can be seen, equipped in smartphones from the third quarter.
